Muslims always criticise Christian’s with the English & loads of different language translations for the bible & if we used there style of argument just say, well it’s not the original Greek bible so all the translations don’t count or matter 😂😂😂 listen clean he says you can’t have corruption from the original text , well the Greek bible is legit scriptures so any other translation can’t be criticised by Muslims at all if there saying there English Quran can’t be. It does not matter in what context the beating was allowed. It’s that the beating IS allowed. Meaning, men have the right to do so whatever the case. The rest is mental gymnastics like “oh prophet pbuh never did it” or “u cant hit her hard and cant hit on face etc”. It does not matter. I would say one thing, if Shia who curse Sahaba and Aisha are kufr then with that logic most of the muslim (in South Asia) are kufr. Why? I know many Muslims who swear left right and centre to anyone (using mother and sister curse words). So, why we don't label these sunii South Asian muslims as kufr as they are swearing people using words (that is used to downgrade mothers and sisters).

Preaching without knowing is dangerous. Don't go on dawah mission unless you understand the Quran or at least the clear things in it. First of all rejecting anything else but the scriptures(16:89, 77:50) for finding deen is part of Iman. So hadith believers need to stay out from dawah activities. Second thing is the criterion for being honorable is being righteous(49:13) not who is beloved to his wife or her husband. Righteousness encompasses everything. Third, the mentioned verse justifying beating wife is mistranslated. Most of the translations are influenced by hadiths therefore they even changed the clear literal meanings of verses. Ibn-Kathir, Moududi, all did this mistake intentionally or not knowingly. The word 'beating' is not there rather finding a 'suitable way' i.e. longer separation, divorce, etc. is meant.
